Get Involved
Getting involved with the Milwaukee Debate League won’t just change a student’s life, it will change yours!
The Milwaukee Debate League relies heavily on volunteers in order to provide the life-changing opportunities debate has to offer Milwaukee area high school students. Volunteers fill vital roles throughout the year; including judging tournaments, as an assistant coach, and general help with league operations. No prior debate experience or training is required, and virtually any level of commitment can be accommodated.
The Milwaukee Debate League needs your help. Whether you’re able to make a donation, or volunteer as a judge, your contribution to urban debate will have a powerful effect on local students, schools, and our community.
Do you have other ideas about how you want to be involved? Contact us! With your help, Milwaukee’s young people will find their voices through debate.

“I don’t like debate, I love debate! When you go in the class and face the other schools it’s scary, but when it’s done you feel like you can work harder. To tell you the truth every time someone wants to argue I win more because I say it with a background on the issue. If you don’t have a reason to your argument you already lost. It’s like, I say pizza is better than cheese burgers because it is. I would know I already lost because I didn’t tell you why pizza is better. So, Debate is awesome! I love it and it helps me win arguments…. Oh yeah!” Ruban Centeno (age16), Bradley Tech
